Celebrating 50 Year of Khasakinte Ithihasam
"Khasak", the place which is still remembered by Malayali’s is worth revisiting today.
The year 2019, marks the eve of the 50th anniversary of the publication of the legendary work in Malayalam literature ‘Khasakkinte Ithihasam” – a novel by O.V. Vijayan. It was later published as ‘The Legends of Khasak’ in English in 1994.
O.V. Vijayan Memorial is a tribute to the writer who arrived at Thasrak in 1956 along with his elder sister who was a teacher there. Later this small village became the setting for the novel "Khasakkinte Ithihasam". The village is named as "Khasak" in the novel. Thasrak is in Palakkad district of Kerala.
