Thirunelly Temple

A temple ringed by Kambamala, Karimala, and the Varadiga Peaks, the Thirunelly Temple exudes an ethereal charm with its classical traditional Kerala architecture. The temple believed to be more than 1000 years old lies in the village Thirunelly, about 30 km off Mananthavady. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple sees a huge influx of devotees arriving to perform ancestral rites. The shrine set amidst dense woods has around 30 granite pieces supporting it with ground being paved with huge square pieces of granite.
