Varkala Floating Bridge

Thiruvananthapuram's first-ever floating bridge was opened in the Papanasam Beach at Varkala, a major tourist hotspot in Southern Kerala. Tourism Minister Mr P. A. Mohamed Riyas inaugurated the floating bridge and water sports activities on the beach. The bridge, measuring 100 meters in length and three meters in width, features pillars on both sides and is equipped with safety measures such as safety boats, life jackets, and lifeguards. Accessible to around 100 visitors simultaneously, the bridge is open from 11:00 am to 05:00 pm.
