Boys Town is situated about 15 km from Mananthavady and you can visit a herbal garden, nature care centre, sericulture unit and permaculture centre here. They are run by Wayanad Social Service Society, which was established in 1974 for the development of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Community Health, Co-operative Credit Unions, Women’s Development, Skills Development (vocational) and Housing.
The society functions in the villages like Poroor, Cherukattoor, Seethamount and Marakadavu in Wayanad district and works towards the social and economic development of the people there.
You can also visit the Gene Park at Boys’ Town, which is an Indo-Danish project for promoting herbal gardening.
